The short answer... YES.
Met up with Binh and Josh last night to see if we could strike while the iron was hot from the previous night's catches. Josh was super fired up telling us about his triumphs. Almost zero kelp, which was glorious. Lots of critter activity, and like clockwork my rig got pulled into the rocks every half hour. Lost my first 8 oz sputnik, but managed to get everything else back. Binh and Josh both had brief shark hookups but didn't stick them. With my last bait I got stuck in rocks again, but this time when I freed it, I could feel a little extra weight! I bet it was this guy messing with me the entire time. ::)

It wasn't the sevengill I was hoping for, but for those of you who have been following along with my quest for new species, you know I've been wanting this one for quite a while! Species #495 on my lifelist, just 5 more to go. :)
(Thanks Binh for taking the pic.)
Binh took an almost decent pic?!! Good sized eel Ben, you can have them all ;)
Good lord! You need to stick its head on a pike!!!
Evil slimy devil spawns! I guess I should say "Congrats" though! lol
Nope. Not touching one.
Very cool indeed Ben, one of those is on my bucket list..................
Damn dude, now that's an eel ;D
