: Lefty Kreh Leader connecting knot
: Latimeria February 25, 2020, 07:48:12 p
So, my connector knot evolved from a few other connector knots that went awry.  I can tie things up easily at home, but when you bust off in the surf at night and need to rig a new shock leader quickly, everything seems to be twice as hard and take twice as long to tie up.  I saw this knot and was wondering if it will work with bigger lines and shock leaders for what we use for surf casting for sharks.

If this works, It looks like it would cut significant time while retying at night on the beach.

Anyone try this connector knot before?  If so, any intelligence on how it performs?

Tom, are you talking mono to mono or mono to braid?

mono to mono.  I'm very happy with my mono to braid connection.

For mono to mono I use the albright.
I've had it under heavy loads tons of times and it never failed.
Can be tied in seconds too.
Perfect for 2 dissimilar lines.
Dont use for braid to mono though.
