My wide wanted some chowder, but I only dug up 3 clams, so I had to add some fresh bought clam to make sure I had enough for a big pot of it. I probably over-did it with the clam and didn't need to buy any, but I only make this once every year or so, thus I'm not well versed in my ingredient amounts.

So many tasty ingredients in a crazy order needing to be seared and cooked before getting the broth and cream involved.

But the final product was to die for! I'm not a huge "Bivalve" guy, but love them a few times a year whether it's steamed clams, chowder, casino, stuffed, or whatever... but this really hit the spot!
