Fished 1730 til 2000 yesterday after work. Jared came along. Kelpy, 10-15mph wind in your face, brown water. I was undeterred but Jared was quickly questioning why the hell we were out. I says stick around and will stick 10 between us. First fish should hit the sand by 1830. It came early around 1820.

Jared got a little one a bit after. Then I went bendo, dogging me good but not a ton of head shakes. Didn't wanna get my hopes up but wanted real bad to land it. Butterfly ray!

Saw a wild Phil Friedman recording a monologue for his vlog stuff. And right next to him I saw a good 20" bean receding in a wave. Pretty surprising considering the off color water and steep beach but there were enough sand crabs to justify its hunt.
Being that he was struggling immensely with tangles and not getting bit, Jared left in frustration around 1900. I picked off two more croaker and broke off another, left at 2000, peak tide and sunset.
Happy Fourth!
The beach was out of the question for me today, glad you landed a few, I bet it's a Zoo down there now.
Can't imagine a evening session on the 4th, glad you got out and caught a few
Another nice Yellowfin! Man, you have put some quality ones on the sand this year.
