So, I agreed to go fishing at the puddles with my coworker again to catch some catfish. This time he said he would bring the food and drink.
The spot I had in mind had someone already fishing there, and most of the tables were taken up. I decided to hit my go to spot, but it would have had a lot of foot traffic and we would have had no comfortable way to cook the food. I saw the person that was fishing where I wanted to go move, so I packed everything up and bolted to the picnic site I wanted to begin with. I realized it might not be the best spot, but it provides the seclusion and facilities we were looking for.
Thankfully I was close enough to WIFI so I could get the game on Prime!
Homa arrived with Chicken and Beef kabobs (Afghani style) and a handle of whiskey. lol

Middle Eastern Flatbread served as the plate as soon as the meat came off the grill. We had three rounds of skewers over 4 hours. I was ready to pop.

We missed a few bites, but Homa wound up somehow hooking a bluegill on a mackerel chunk. Other than that, we caught 5 pond chickens. I tried casting to different areas, but apparently this puddle is full of turtles!
I also got to watch and listen to a great football game! I waited 14 years to see the Jets beat down the Pats again!

Homa left a piece of mack on the table and it got swarmed. We kept it there so they would leave us and our food alone. By the time we left, it was only literally skin and bones.

Well, no catfish again, but great food, football, and chill time!
Thanks for reading this almost non-report. lol
Looks like a relaxing time, them Yellow Jackets are brutal !
That's a great afternoon. I need somebody to cook kabobs for me on the Mosquito.
Happy for you and your jets getting a good division win after all the BS the last couple years, but that feeling is gonna fade real quick if they stay competitive at all. My Bills hatred has doubled every year since 2020...
Quite a spread.
Was this yesterday? I drove laps all morning trying to find cats. Saw more dead ones than alive! Even bassin was tough. Had to drop down to trout gear just to get them to go.
I see all the food, where's the handle of whisky? ;D
Yep Len, it was Thursday. Fishing was pretty tough for the most part as we were swarmed with turtles no matter where we threw our baits.
