End of last year was rough to say the least, got the Norovirus 12/18 and I'm still recovering from losing 8lbs in 5days, puked more times than I can count and couldn't keep anything down for more than 30mins for literally 5 days. To say I felt like death, and even welcomed it for a day b4 I pulled myself off the floor and got the ish outta my system finally. Lost my great uncle on NYE, after he had a stroke few days earlier, getting gas goin to see my great aunt, Nana's sister in the hospital 🥲💔
Well I tried to take the boat out on my B-day 1/3, only to find the starter solenoid was shot and the big motor wouldn't crank. Oh well I got the Ritide TM, at least I can troll out to the end of the channel and catch a few for a bit... Until I tried connecting to the Bluetooth only to get no connection🤦🏽�♂️guess my 4+yr old batteries finally took a schit after having to troll all the way back from Basically the bridge, ya know the big blue one,last time I took it out in Mid November, and I completely drained and depleted what charge they had left. Luckily I was able to get an old-timer who was walking his dog and watching me struggle and fail to get anything goin, to catch a rope I tossed him on the dock and pull myself to it and hand line the boat back onto the trailer. Epic Fail to start my 39th lap around the sun😬🤬🫠🙃😶�🌫�
Ordered the parts from Scamazon and 2 Lipo Lithium batteries, that I'll have today hopefully 🤞🏽
Needed to get out and get some Redemption. Hit the ole stomping grounds, me and my boi Willis used to fish after work afternoon sesha with his pops, and I would take my pops to when we just wanted to catch a few in a hour or so. Get there at 2:13pm as the tides starting to drag out. Hit a few of the usual stops for nada, got bumped twice, maybe lol, walked to the bouy line and made 4 casts and got absolutely smoked, felt like a small Hali at first on the Nasci 500, trout reel 🤪 but shortly started the grumpy rolls and I got him outta the grass within a few cranks, after I tightened my drag to 5lbs lol

Well I was stoked lol but you can't leave after 1 fish. Kept at it, missed a few short strikes and farmed one in the grass 😬
15mins later I connected again with a lil smaller chunky grump.

Only needed one, two was a bonus. But I knew they'd keep biting as the tide pulled em outta the river valley. Got a call from my pops, the starter solenoid just got delivered, I was only 20mins away from Nana's, aight lemme get 15 more casts lol I'll be there in 30-45mins tops 🤙🏽
Within 10 cast, bout 12mins after fish #2 I got slammed again and pulled a scrappy lil grump outta the agua and called it a sesh 🙌🏽☝🏽✌🏽👌🏽
