Fished Wohlford again but this time I took my son along for the ride.  Armed with a portable charger and iphone he was content to join me. ???  We fished Senior Shoreline and there was a quick flurry of bites for anglers around us and we were soon rewarded with one of our own.

That was the only bite of the day and the bite died off.  Not sure why it didn't last as long as we hoped maybe the rain from the night before put them off.  Another single trout day.

At least I got to enjoy with my son and it was his personal best and first trout.  A nice healthy one measuring 19" and made for a great trout bake for dinner.

PS.. Congratulations Steve for pulling in the winning BAT for Team SD.

Nice fish Steve, who you giving all your trout to?

The trout I caught were all over 18", definitely better than the 1 pounders..

Steve, how often do you go to Wohlford?  LMK next time you make it out there.

Fished Wohlford again last week Friday.  I haven't been much of a fan fishing for trout, but this year I have a new found interest.  I never had much luck catching more than one trout in a single outing.

It took me all day but I finally managed to catch plural trouts.  I fished next to an old timer named 'Cap'.  He was giving me encouragement and tips all day.  He even gave me a rooster tail jig to try on my next outing.  What a cool dude. I'm sure I'll run into him out there again.  We all know what trout looks like.  So I didn't take much action shots.  Only the after shot in the fish container in my trunk.

Trout caught with power worms, in natural, white and yellow tipped with power bait garlic.  It was a great day.

Nice Steve!!  People at Wohlford did the same thing, kind of boxed in the shore guys.  We got tangled up a few times too.

Trout have been finicky so far.  Good karma there Steve.

It was a beautiful opening day at Lake Wohlford, last week Saturday.

Being out there was its own reward.

Catching trout like this was just icing on the cake.

Well..that's what I kept telling myself since that was the only trout I caught.  It was pretty slow all around, not much action on the limited shoreline.  A lot of it taken up by tall reeds.  There were two plants prior to the opening so there were a lot of eager anglers there hoping for a WFO bite, which never materialized.  Maybe it was the rain the day before that threw the trout off schedule.

Still, it was a great day to be out there.
