Unfortunately don't have time for much research:( The trip was originally planned for Mexico, but had some issues and we made a last minute switch to Florida. So my previous research went in the "for future" use category. Looks like I may have my hands on a sharkin rod though. Anyone know why kinda prehistoric souls may be lurking in the West Palm Beach waters this time of year? Unfortunately I hear the black tips are gone this time of year. I've gotten some advice on locations. Anyone know if the typical rigging we use here in so cal is sufficient out there? .... Maybe I should start a new thread... lol

I will as soon as I get back from Florida. I'm just bringing light gear out there so I'm hoping to be able to rent some heavier gear, from what I hear I'll be in some fairly primo shark territory.

Make sure to include a safety valve, something to release the pressure in a worst case scenario, similar to an air compressor safety valve. Don't wanna blow your face off with an unintentional pipe bomb.

Hey guys, sorry for my hiatus. Had some family stuff going on that was more important and needed my focus to be elsewhere. Stoked to see all the grinners on the board! I'm headed out to Florida (Singer Island) next week for some R and R and hoping to soak some bait while I'm out there. Only bringing light gear, so I'm hoping I can rent some heavier gear out there. Anyways, good to read back and see all those sharks on the sand, keep up the good work gents!

Well I know I'm bringing up a slightly old post, but I've been gone a while. Super stoked for you chad! And you even beat my best by 4 inches! Glad to see you tamed the beast! Congrats!

Might be interested in the squall/beef stick... Let me talk to the ol lady and see if it's possible to fit it into the budget. Most likely I won't be able to till after the 1rst.

How come VC doesn't get a nice little description like every other team!? I suggest: (Well it's their first year actually fielding a team, but even if they lose they are still the best looking men to ever hold a fishing pole, except maybe brad Pitt in "River Runs Through it, but that is a movie so it doesn't actually count😝)

Too long?😝

You don't need all that info Verne, just bring me with you. It's scientifically proven that fish are both attracted to my scent as well as my beautiful singing voice😜

Yea but your scent isn't so attractive to other fishermen though.  ::) LOL

God damnit Ron! How many times I gotta tell you... STOP TRYING TO SMELL ME!😜😝😜

Ps... Sorry for completely derailing the thread😁

I usually just BBQ chicken breasts. Dry rub, and about 7 mins on each side with grill on med/high. They always come out juicy and good:)
