Food & Recipe / YFT Jerky
Last post by Tim524 - November 06, 2024, 09:32:17 AM
My cousin gave me about 100 packages of YFT and Wahoo, he wanted me to make Jerky out of the Tuna. Haven't tried that so I thought why not ;)

Mixed Teriyaki, honey and pepper and let it marinade over night, then on to the Dehydrator out in the Shop, didn't want to stink up the house  :)  ;D

Turned out pretty good but I'm not a big "Tuna" fan so hopefully he likes it ;)

I did 2 batches, one with Crushed Red Pepper and one without.

The Wahoo will get special attention for a good meal  8)

General Board / More Wood
Last post by Tim524 - November 06, 2024, 09:04:26 AM

Had to split some wood for my mom, so Max And Myles helped out. My dad had a good supply of wood piled up before he passed away but it needed to be split. We loaded Max's truck up and stacked it close to the house so my mom can feed her wood burning stove. Hopefully this will last her a month and then we will go and split more.

Got some small chips and kindling too :)

Winter is sneaking up on us ;)

Nice. I did a morning stroll around puddles yesterday AM. A bunch of dead ones at the ramp. Saw a few breezers with one decent size lightning trout. All were spotted away from the masses lol. Most trout I saw on a stringer was one by guys throwing/snagging with mini jigs.

Getting robbed by an Osprey doesn't happen every day, too bad it got away with your trout :o

I still think you should be filming your outings, you always attract some kind of excitement 8)
