High Speed Trolling Hook Setup

Watched this a couple weeks ago and came back to it. They mention using dual split rings on the front hook of a high speed lure to get even more trolling speed range out of it. Not sure if anyone has any desire to troll at 18-25kts around here but, that's how you might get the lure to run that fast!

That madscad is a neat lure though, if you wanna watch the video from the beginning. Haven't heard anything about trolling them in SoCal for bluefin but I think the smaller ones have been used to cast to foamers with some success.

I'll check this video out later.  Only used the double split rings on the back hook to reduce the leverage of pulling the hook, but never thought about the nose of the lure.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
