I came across this the other day and thought id share. I didn't know this but it makes perfect sense.

Jaws

All too true but capacity fore-fitted for distance.
It's all Tom and Don's fault! They "hooked" me on mud marlins and sharks!

My last setup Eric was a Breakaway LDX with a Daiwa Emblem Pro 6000a.  It had the long (& tapered) spool and casted like a cannon, held almost 400 yards of 50# PP.  Prior to the Emblem I had a SSV 7500 on the rod, when I went to the Daiwa my casting distance increased probably by at least a third.  Kind of wish I would have hung on to the setup for leo fishing....................Verne

Knew this, but great info for those that didn't! I have spinners for distance casts when I go to Cabo.
