Checked the surf forecast before I went to bed. Called for some big surf, so, since I had all the gear set up, I went trouting again.

Not as foggy, but cool mist coming off the lake swirling around in the breeze. Cool looking this time, not spooky.

Had my choice of spots, so I skipped yesterday's successful spot to try a new spot. Bad idea, but whatever.

First bite came early and it was a surprise.

Not a monster, but it was fun on the trout gear.

My quiet beach was invaded by a couple families. No big deal, or bad behavior, but since I had no bites in an hour, I moved.

I set up on a rock point and made several casts trying to find the zone.

I finally got a bite in the deeper water. Hard fighting 2-3 pound rainbow.

Cast out and got bit again in minutes by another decent fish.

That was it for the trout, but the bird watching was fun.

Turkey vultures, big white pelicans, and two bald eagles that swooped down to grab a fish. Missed it though.

Split earlier than yesterday, but felt like I got my moneys worth, until I checked surfline and saw 2-3 foot waves.

Latimeria

You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Got some good intel eavesdropping on a couple guys. Nice to be a Spanish speaking guero..

Been exploring, Reid. I actually followed the eagles to see where they went.

greyhoundfan

ahhh...the Eagles, I know where they go too.. LOL.

Ahh the advantage on knowing another language ;) Glad you scored a few fish and got to see the Bald Eagles, they are the talk of the town around here 8)
