Tugging on some Tanks! Sharky time soon? 4/17

I love those Penn Spinfisher V reels!! Such affordable tanks.

I have yet to hook and fight a big 7 gill, so, I may be wrong in my assumption, but I feel a surf bat over 50" would be the toughest fighting fish from the surf that can be caught with some regularity.

Soupfins are short lived. Bats are all about endurance.

Soupies don't give up the entire time, but big bats in the surf can make you hurt the next day for sure!  lol

That is true. But the overwhelming response from everyone is virtually the same. Soupies kick a$$ for a short time and 7 gills for the most part is like reeling in a bunch of kelp. I'm sure we can all agree if horn sharks fought like batrays, we'd all be targeting horn sharks

I was just busting your chops.  I've never had a soupie give up until I got it drug up the sand and even then, they always seem to have some fight.  Nowhere near the pain of a 50"+ bat ray or a big BSB though.
