Search continues (04-06-17)

Met up with Josh to look for grinners. Not expecting much since we were fishing an hour into the outgoing tide. I had mack and a few pieces of squid, Josh had macks and "Josh bait".

Conditions were pretty sweet considering Surfline was calling for 2-4' surf. More like 1-2' with an occasional 2.5'. Lol! At times we had lulls where it was 0-1'!!! We both had several bass bites and I was able to get 2 calicos to stick, 13" and 16".



I had 2 grinner type bites nearly knocking my rod out of its holder and me having to wind in the slack to only see my bait mutilated. The price I pay for fishing 2 rods. Josh had a lot to say about that. I lost a rig and got it back a few casts later. Sweet! Called it at 12am. The search continues...

Josh baits don't work.  Much easier to just stop using them altogether, just like fishing two rods.  LOL

Lmfao to all of the above! I understand 2 rods while solo, not really but whatever. But when there's 2 people 3 rods is jus a recipe for disaster in the surf. Your lucky you got your lobster'd rig back.
