Decided to hit up VC for some Seven hunting.
Surf was perfect at 1-2' and the wind died at sunset. Weeds were very manageable with only one small clump.

Ended up scoring a nice approximate 85" male seven. This guy was on steroids and hit like a freight train, making my reel scream when he hit. There was no guessing on this one. He made 3 mad runs at 3/4 drag. At first I thought I had a big bat as the first 1/2 of the fight there were no head shakes or tail slaps, just heavy pressure. It finally started making the rod thump once I got him into the surf zone. I had a nice couple hold my rod and take some pics for me, forgot to tape him as I got distracted answering questions. Bait was a Mac head.

That was it for the night, but very happy with getting 1 in only 2 hours of fishing.

Looks like I'll have to update the shark list now that there are three in the Que, waiting to go!

Congrats Ron!  Can Where'sMyBeer lettering get any smaller?   :o ;D
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
