Last year was the first time in 15 years that we didn't do family boat day as the Boma was on her way out.  This year, it was going to be done in style on the Curmudgeon!
We got down to the bay and cruised around for a bit.  My daughter loves taking the helm!

We stopped to get a little fishing in and Hannah is well versed in casting now.  She's not 100% on holding them though as 10 year old girls hand are soft and the teeth are too much for her.  I told her to man up, and she just told me she's a girl.  lol

Then I found a ton of bait swimming around!  Every cast was getting bit!  Hannah picked up 7 bass and I got 5 in between helping her take the fish off and getting pictures.

She had a legal halibut follow her bait up to the surface and got really made it didn't take her swimmy!  She was quite funny getting all worked up over the big stupid fish that didn't take her bait! lol
She did manage to get this little postage stamp at least.

It was a great hour of fishing and we headed to the Barefoot Bar for lunch.  I think that's my wife's favorite part of the day!

We headed out and made a few laps in the speed zone before packing it in.  It was a great day on the water and a great way to spend the day with the family.

Until next tide!

Quality time! Barefoot is always fun and better if you've got leftover bait.  8)

Not a whole lot of fish in there except for 3 yellowtail, a leopard, a few giant Opaleye and a half dozen big calico.  I'm sure the rest were poached by people or the heat.
