Went for grinners, got the critters

Combo report from the 2 trips, one in the little the other we hit the surf.

1st trip:

Bait was squid. 2 horn sharks for my buddy, a sub-legal sculpin for me. Lots of pickups then dropped baits.




2nd trip:

Squid for me, macks for Binh. Ripping current, lots of bites. Binh got a little leo, a sandie, and a round ray which became bait.  I got a yfc on my small rod while waiting the long rod to go off.


That rod belt sure came in handy ;)

Would have made a couple baits out of that croaker. It's done the trick before.

Oh, I'll be on point come bat fight! I've already requested that whole day off from work, the family, and the wife.

You did better than I did. Good call on the ray, in theory they should be giller candy bait since they do love eating their fellow elasmobranchii. Hopefully next week.
