New Skull Project

I got my hands on a pretty stinky big Black Piranha head and was trying to get the stink out, so I gave it some long peroxide baths.  All it did was turn the head yellow and it still stunk just as bad!



I tried boiling it for 2 minutes to help out but the head literally just fell to pieces.  I collected up all I could find and started a second... and third.... and fourth.... (you get the picture) barrage of bone cleaning.  I didn't use any bleach, but used some diluted ammonia to get the grease out of the bones and help break apart the meat.



The bones have been pulled and are dried now.  I'll get a picture of them later, but it will be a straight up skull and it looks pretty damn cool too!  Those teeth are wicked!

Finally done! It came out fairly good considering I wasn't planning on stripping this sucker down to the bone!
