Took another run at them this evening, only had a couple hours away from home.  But we batted 1000, only got bit once..........but we put it on the sand.  I got careless getting the hook out, I felt like an idiot.  69" female, mackerel on the incoming tide.  Until the next time, and remember...........these things have sharp teeth!!

Damn Verne, better keep hitting that spot until it dies out on you!! Hope you put the infamous male ego aside and you treat the cut, it can easily get infected. I got a nasty infection a several years back from a barracuda.

I wish I could go more often Mike, but I don't want my dad on the beach in the dark.  So I pay someone to cook dinner and hang with him once a week, hopefully we'll be going back out next week.  When we start chasing them in the morning (March thru May), I will bring him.  Then we'll be going two or three times a week
