Bats out during the day, again!

I was at Cachuma on August 10th and caught a nice catfish.

Question, are you guys using mack or chovie as bait up there or using something else like prepared baits or chicken livers?

Last I went, I used half a squid on a 1.5oz c-rig. Just pretended I was bat fishing . I do have gnarly-a$$ prepared dough that I caught a couple on at a local duck pond.

I used strictly macs on a double dropper loop.
The macs were fresh frozen but my wife wouldn't let me keep them in the freezer in the trailer, so by the time I used them they were pretty ripe. 
The one was caught during the middle of the day but I got bites every time when I went out at night.

It's kind of a bummer that most of our local freshwater spots almost require a vessel of some kind to fish effectively, but it's hard to complain with the ocean so close
