https://tvrpd.org/parks-facilities/brite-lake We should have a trout plant this week and the bass and crappie fishing is starting to pick up just off the 202 in Tehachapi. Tent camping and overnight fishing $26 Partial hook ups 30 amp A/C and water $31 $5 day use to sunset parking fishing is free with license we do limit to 5 fish take. We do have Very limited full hook up spots for $41 a night book early for pavilion events and group camping.

I have been hired as 1 of the 2 new Lake specialist taking reservations for camping at the lake. I am working with the also new Camp hosts trying to create a place where fisherman can have fun within reason of course 24/7 and working on catfish plants but there are some big cats in the lake and Kayaks are permitted to fish until sunset but nobody can see kayaks at night so at your own risk at that point there is no on water lake patrol. No gas motors the lake isn't big but big enough for good brood stock year round and well away from the crazy city life. They try to enforce a 5 fish limit to prevent overfishing.

Awww, good ol Tehachapi.  I took a resident mechanics job there in the early 80's, left Bishop for the job.  When I got there I asked the crew "where do you fish around here"?  They answered "we go up to Bishop".....................less than a week later I gave up the position and moved back to Bishop.  Hope the job works out Don, good luck my man....

I have to check that campground out.  I just google imaged the lake and see lots of sweet fish and pictures of it.  Is the lake level up?
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
