Ripping current.....  Not just salad everywhere, but floating grass everywhere!  Any line that touches the water is covered with with grass the entire way to the sinker and when you reel in, it turns into a 100# ball of grass that takes 10 minutes to peel all the layers of grass off the swivel.

Waves weren't terrible, but not great.  No obvious red tide.  Seemed really fishable from the parking lot, but the depth of the situation did not come into play until you waded out to make the first cast.

I walked north and south of where we were fishing and all the same.

Thank god it was chilly out or the beach would have been packed nuts to butts.  The days of empty beaches might be over until next winter.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

I'm definitely not fishing this week! Surf is to be pumping this coming weekend too. What a crap year in the surf so far.
