Has anyone shark fished lately? If so, how have conditions been for you? Haven't been down to the surf in SD since early april when i caught a soupfin but I've been hitting an OC spot, it's still producing fish, just not when I'm there haha and if someone else gets bit when I'm there, they farm it. Although lately it's mostly been on dropped baits. Conditions are getting bad though, kelp is back in the surf and current is still bad. Haven't hit LA county in a while but plan to go soon, current there earlier this year was nothing compared to what SD has had all year

New job stresses/hours and tough conditions every friggand time we plan on hitting the surf has thwarted many plans. I have a few guys at work who keep me in the loop on salad and surf conditions. One is a surfer and the other a fisherman. From what Intel I got the last few weeks was grass and strong current. Of course this week seemed very fishable but I couldn't get out . Figures.

Hoping to get out on a regular basis again here soon though.   8)

I haven't been on the sand in the evening in over a year.  My dad's mental status and his vision gets worse as the day goes on, it would be a nightmare.  But I still take him to the pier twice a week and fish solo once a week for 4 or 5 hours when my sister comes over.  We've been consistently catching halibut and calicos off the pier, but the beach has been tough.  With the water at almost 65 degrees, morning shark fishing is in the plans.   8)

I have gotten very lax in my fishing habits. Need to change that.

I still get a kick out of this post... for a few reasons.   ;D

Ive been stressing them out on my rubber boat. Can't say it's much more productive than surf fishing though
Keep it tight

Nnnnnope! Might start targeting Ts from the boat real soon though. My shark batting average and the current gas prices don't currently combine well to contribute to my overall happiness.

What Tom and Steve said. I'll get out there soon.

My current day "position" is trying to lobotomize me... and getting close to succeeding.  I need some water time soon before I pop.  lol
