Picked up an ULUA ESM blank at the seeker sale and dropped it off at my buddy Ronnie's to get wrapped since my wrapper will only accommodate up to 8ft right now

Split grip, tiger wrap and plate seat were my only requests. I picked up the guides from island tackle and had the seats shipped in from the east coast (popular on beach rods). We got the measurements and then he did his thing. Turned out pretty awesome IMO! He made it match a SPJ rod he built me last month.

Very unique, I dig it. That reel seat is very interesting.

Sweet Chris!  What will that be for?  General big surf critters or maybe even yellows?

I might break it in at the bat fight or on a surf critter but I got it to toss metal at yellows. Either from the bow of a boat or maybe a jetty. I need to try it out and see if I really want a 10ft rod on a boat or stick to my 93H and 90j

Here's a full handle shot. I'll have to get a pic holding it. The blanks so thick it makes it looks really short.

Is that the plug back there that enables the rod to transform into a potato launcher?

ha, just a funny angle.  Looks great and can't wait to hear how it performs!
