Mini Bat Fight (3/26)

Well, Sticks is on his way back north this weekend and a few of us got together in the bay to try for some Mud Marlin.  It wound up being Sticks, Rasta, Tinkerbell, Squatch, WMB and Rammer as well as myself.  That is a lot of people and rods on a small beach.

I should have figured how the day would go.  I put my old X-mas tree in a fire ring as I was setting up.  30 minutes later, Steve, Sticks and I walked up to the fire pit when WHOOSH!  The bastard ignited like a 5 gallon can of gas!  lol, there must have been a hot coal or two still under the ash and ignited the thing.

Long story short, everyone had some action even if they didn't get them in.  Steve and Sticks got a nice Diamond Ray.

So much meaner and advanced weaponry over the bats.



Rasta had a few bites.  He got a nice sh!t shark and lost a decent bat ray after a good fight and a few jumps.



My slow ass got some bites, but I couldn't get to the rod in time.

Paul and Dave both had bites and fish on, but I don't recall if any actually got to shore or not.

In any case, a fun evening and great fishing with everyone.

Good times, with good peeps! sucks losing fish, but I saw her, she wasn't huge, fish of the night but whatever, I was shark fishin anyways B)

The diamonds are cool,but dang they make me about 10 times as nervous as the bats!!!!!!!!!!! Those suckers have reach and attitude, never a good combo!!
