Hit the beach around 6PM. Drew and -1 were there a little a head of us. While Nabeel, Gentle Ben and I were setting up, -1 pulls in a little 'Butt. Signs of life! Water was moving pretty good and we were fishing the rising tide. Then we get a double. First -1's rod goes off, then Drew's. Looks like -1 is going to be busy for a bit, so I help Drew land a nice 34" Butterfly ray. We get her taped, photoed and on her way and focus on -1, who's in quite a battle. Unfortunately a yacht comes by and cuts -1's line :-[

Then nothing until a little after 9PM when my rod goes bendo. Hooked into a nice 47" model that fought hard. Got her taped, photoed and released no problem when Gentle Ben gets a screamer. Unfortunately he's got a small spinner that even with 65lb braid gets spooled  :-[

Then it's all quite until about 10PMish when we start getting what look like shark bites. Something was mauling the macs, but no hookups :-[

Out of beer and macs we called it at 11:30PM and headed for some chalupas ;D

One pic.

Anybody have an emergency beer?

Latimeria

I see no pic...  ;D

Nice session guys!  Better than Steve's and my surf session last night.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
