Bat Crazy in LA - Sat 4-11

What an epic day hauling bats on the beach! 

A bunch of the LA Crew got together to soak rods tonight in a LA spot.
Had myself, Ryan, Eric, Verne, Denny and Denny's friend Mike.
We setup around 5:30ish to great conditions, no kelp and only a little red cabbage.
Surf was 1's and 2's, no wind and great company. It didn't take long for the action to heat up.

The action was pretty steady for the first few hours before it finally died off around 8-8:30 or so.
We didn't hit much in the way of size, but boy did we hit numbers tonight. I don't have an exact total
for the night, I think I missed a few. I think Denny's friend Mike got the biggest at 37".

I was setup about 20 yds north of Verne and my rod seemed to only go off when I was down chewing the fat
with Verne.  Dang, but I,m tired from all that running.

Numbers that I am sure of take the total to 17 bats on the beach, 1 Horn shark and 1 sngf.
We even had a triple at one time with myself, Verne and Mike all hooked up at the same time.

I hope this finally means that the Bats are ready to play in LA, and that this was not just a teaser to keep us trying
with no success.
