Family day was a hike up Stonewall Mountain with the family and my wife's aunt and uncle.

I've never hit this SD famous trail before, so we started our ascent.  It had its challenging moments, but was a fun hike up the mountain.  Thankfully we got up there before the crowds.

2.1 mile hike up the mountain... Thankfully the next 2.1 mile hike will be down the mountain!  lol

My daughter was a little tired but she made it.  hahaha

If anything it made my wife super happy for back-to-back family days!  She somehow got me to the horse ranch yesterday so her New Year is already starting as "Best start of the year ever".

On the way back, we stopped at the gold mine since we already bought a Day Pass for Stonewall Peak.

I do have to admit I'm pretty sore.  I'm on day three and craving a bloody mary right now, but I'm staying the course.  I really want to lose 20# and hoping this helps me do so.  lol

Happy New Year everyone!

You can't catch them from your computer chair.

I dropped 20 by cutting the brewery nights from 7 to 3-4 a week. Picked 5 back up by doing more 4s than 3s.

Wow, great views up there 8)

I have never heard of that place before, may have to give it a visit :)

Looks like your Family Adventures will keep you in shape with hikes like that, very cool !

Sick view! I'm very unfamiliar with that area. Good luck with the dry january.
