It's been so long since I've seen a shark post I've started to wonder what conditions we need for them to come back.

Last time I remember having one on a hook seems like it was 2016 during El Nino when the water was warmer.

I seem to remember the seven gills prefer cold water.

Just wanted to figure out what conditions warrent a trip to the beach to get sharks.

Latimeria

Hey Keith, historically fishing for Sevengills is great into June before I find they peter out or move somewhere else.

I've had such bad medical issues (Hernia, shoulder surgery, bad weather windows) that I haven't got out in a while.  Squatch is pretty hurtin' also so my sand hand is also out.

I do the best at incoming tide.  As it starts getting dark and the tide starts to roll in, the sharks come pretty close to shore.  I did have some bait yakkers tell me that they didn't see many sharks except for Soupfin in close the last few years, but I haven't been out so I can't confirm or deny that.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
