Lots of stuff going on and I needed to work from home.  I saw rain in the morning and thought maybe I could get a few hours in before the meetings started.

'Bows were EVERYWHERE!  Just not the ones with fins.

Spot one for an hour for nothing but two busted lines on snags.  I think the bass guys must have thrown out a big branch or something.

Spot two for an hour and I got some!  Some Whisker Trout!

Old one eye Tim...

Another bigger model, but not big by any stretch.

Third one and I didn't even want to get back to the truck to grab my camera.  Probably only 14" long channel.

Moved to a third lake...

I was just getting out my first casts when I saw a really big light color "rock" in the water where there should be no rock.  I thought I saw it moving slightly, but couldn't tell through the muddy water.  I reeled in my one rod and underhand pitched out the worm at it.... and WHOOSH!  Off it went in all its Lightning Glory!  WOW!

Now I HAD to stay and catch it.

Basically spent the next hour with two definite trout bites but definitely not that big lightning trout.  I was using an entire inflated nightcrawler to attract it's attention, but only got small ones grabbing and biting the worm in half.

Time to leave, but I'll be back!

Came back at 4:00 after all my meetings and work for one last shot at it....  Crickets..

At least I know they are still in there and will be sure to try again this week!

Until next time...
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Good try. Bet seeing a big lightning at your feet got you amped as hell.

O to catch a fish!
