So there was a great story to tell, but I'm hoping to see some posts of what your experience was.  I want to create an entire story of everyone's personal experiences as to make for a great article to read about.

If you guys can submit a short story (or just a paragraph) on what you loved or remembered most about the tournament, I'll use some of it to craft a story of SNBF-XVIII.  Much appreciated everyone!

Now for some random pictures of the day...  Please reply with pics you may have also so I can keep a file of the event.

Glad somebody found 'em, just the wrong county!

After a long day at the PCS show and getting my brakes done, I hurried over to Newport to meet up with Jared to close out the day with a 3 hour effort waiting in the dark for a winning bat to come our way.

We braced for 50ยบ air temps and a moderate wind in our face, but we were pleasantly surprised by at least a still night, and a half moon casting shadows. Pleasant 2' @ 10 second wave conditions, matched with a ripping downhill current. Some grass in the wash wasn't too much of a problem. We both unwound from a long day, soaking baits in the surf for the first time together in a couple years.

Beyond cigars, snacks, and shooting stars, we hardly saw a bait stealer all night. The otherwise opulent Orange County continues to bare its bleak white underbelly for lack of bat rays.

I've been wanting to do a breakdown but have received little in my request for personal stories of the event.  Tim pretty much summed up the SD evening, but I still plan to do something.  Is anyone even reading the forum anymore?  lol
