Since I was up in la. I decided to meet up with a good friend and hit up the old stomping grounds.
We were gonna yak, but conditions looked rough online. So we opted to light rod.
Go figure we arrived to decent conditions, aside from salad build up every other cast, but fishable.  Mind you I have a bad track record with light rodding and ruining cell phones,  so it stayed in the car.
But I ended the day with 1 barely legal calico, a short calico, a chovy, queenfish, and a maybe 20" wsb on the croc, rattletrap and dropshot gulp smile.
As for my buddy he got a nice yfc, and a brute 7.1 pound spotfin on the lc!

Well Hot Damn!  I caught a 27" spotfin a decade ago and it still doesn't look as big as this one!  Wow!  Congrats!

Yeah he was absolutely stoked. We were thinking wsb when it was in the skinny at 1st, made good runs on 12.
