My day started off reading Halibut Joels post. I was inspired yet again. Convinced Rick to try a new AO. well semi new for us. we fished there but hadn't caught much. i knew it was going to be a rough day on the water due to the big swell. The salad was also against me. but the wind wasn't to bad.

Outgoing tide, started fishing around 1pm and kept at for a bit. I took a leak and got hammer second cast! No measure but like a solid 16" Felt good reeling it up. Caught it On BTSponge hammer head i found. switched off the 5" and put a 4" with a trap hook.

Wish i had my Camera with better quality but forgot to charge. This calico had some insane colors! Purple teal and very dark. haven't seen one quite like this. too bad you can't really tell from the pic.

Nice going Sean, but come down to North County if you want a swell. I wish I had those conditions.  ;D

Nice Calico regardless, way to make it work yet again.

En Fuego! Nice bass in the surf means big sharks are close by! I love catching big bass in the surf. Nicely done. :)

You can't catch them from your computer chair.
