Well, as the story usually goes on a Tuesday...we fish after work.  The problem now is it is unofficially summer with the kids being out of school, it getting dark at 8:00 and way too packed for my liking.  Steve and I tried to figure out where we could fish and not see anyone around... or at least a minimal amount of people.  We picked a beach and I get there first just to farm my first bite.  Steve casts out and BAM!!!  He's on like Flynn!  The streak continues!

It was a legitimate one also, over 50 for sure but we didn't get a measurement.

We hit a slow area in time, but soon as it got dark, things started to pick up again!  I get rocked with a screamer just to have him drop the bait as I grabbed the rod. 0-2 now.
Steve hooks up what looks and feels like a nice bat ray, but neither one of us wanted to deal with it.  Fortunately, he unbuttoned half way in so we didn't have to get slimy.

Well we get some biters and then Steve is on again!  This one felt like the real deal and we were sure it was the right kind.  Squatch is on fire with 4 as well as 4 more that he lost over the last 4 days.  Guesstimated 5.5 feet.

I had a few more screamers and dropped baits before Steve struck again with a slimy one!

Finally, it was my turn.  I made the call of a leopard and not long later, this beauty slid up the sand!

The old Shake and Bake!

Steve just couldn't let m have more than 20 minutes of happiness before he countered with a Leppo of his own!

We called it the night a little after 10:30 and it turned out to be pretty good.  Steve is apparently going to milk this streak for everything its worth and I don't blame him!

Lot's of sharks on the beach this week.  My guess is the crabs and grunion are just making the surf croakers and such super fat.  The ultra high tides are making the beaches deeper than usual and the sharks could slide up there easier.  Whatever the case, get out there and strike while the iron is hot!  We hit a random beach and still got them!

-Until next tide!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Great night for sure. Sorry for hoggin all the fish, but I've been on the other side of that enough that I'm not too sorry. Four nice fish did wonders to cheer me up.

Don't forget to send me the other pic. Nevermind. Just saw it.

Nap and solo session tonight? Might just happen.
