Went to Fiesta Island hoping for at least one bat ray.

Got 2 brat kids in the water jumping up and grabbing my line  >:( I was there first.

Wind knots needed to re rig the bait rod,

Backlash popped the long rod line losing the whole terminal rig, Losing a Sputnik and Trokar 10/0 hook hurt the most.

And of course got skunked.

0 for about 10 on the long rod trips.

Fiestas a joke in the summer, night time is worth a shot there but I wouldn't go earlier than 730ish. Seems dead back there, my last 3 trips resulted in micro sh!t sharks and a legal bass and 2 skunks. West side of the bay seems to have a little more life from what I've heard, might wanna try ski beach by the launch ramp, or the bahia but again night time is the time to go since most folks get outta the water when the sun starts to dip down...

Yep, what the other guys have said.  It doesn't matter if you are in a boat or from shore... the summertime people are plain annoying.  Don't let it get you down.  We've all had our share of slow times.  Steve went 50 trips in a row without one.  Still a record that may never be beat.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
