I wasn't aware that it originated here in Okinawa but I knew it was a "secret" of Japan.

I, as well as many others, have done really well with this style of fishing. electric reels are the shizznit (that's a word) when it comes to ebing but we do it with standard gear as well.

I'd like to see someone land some tuna on it in SoCal.... but SHHhhhhhhh  ;) I have plans to break it out on a LR trip when I make it back.  ;D
