I have two questions:

1) Just out of curiosity, does anybody know if the ghost shrimp is the same thing as a sand shrimp that they use in Northern California and Oregon?

2) What is the best hook to use and rigging method for this bait?

Before the end of the year I would like to check off a few more species from my "life list" and I think using ghost shrimp will be the quickest way to do this. Thanks!

Ghost shrimp = sand shrimp.

Very popular for salmon. Use with a gob of eggs bobber fishing. Just the tail.

Otherwise, I usually hook it twice near the end of the tail. Depending on size I may fish the tail as one bait and the head as another.
