Headed out in the early light to see what was biting. This weekend the AO had a beach soccer tournament and the parking was full upon arrival. Mostly campers, but there were signs of warnings for expect delay.

Arrived to a very nice early morning May Grey!

Started casting the Luckycraft FM 115 MR Sexy SMelt. The waves were crashing this morning and tried to wait and cast when it was calm.
About 20 minutes in I finally feel a hit. Got my target for the morning but it was just not he right size.

Another quick shot and back in she went.

Fished for another hour or so and saw that more people were coming in quickly in numbers. After moving to some shallower waters I make a few more casts. Then that's when it hit and stop me in my tracks.

At first I thought I was snagged, but then I could feel some tugging and then my drag starts to run. This felt like a nice Halibut! Was super excited and let her make the drag peels. Lure was set nicly and when I reel in closer I can see the tail. Hooked onto a 30 inch Sand Shark on the back and what a nice fight it was on the rocks dealing with crashing waves.

This was a little difficult reeling in and was hoping I didn't lose my lure to this on the rocks. Glad I retied.

Thanks for reading and fish on!
