Got an invite to fish another beach with the lost beer-meister.  Steve and I even got to his spot before him and soaked some baits for grass and stolen baits.  Dave shows up and on his first cast he's on!

Dave and I took a short walk down the beach to see if we could find some action as Steve stayed put.  Bad move on our part as Dave hooked a monster kelp and broke off.  I was stubborn and didn't want to lose my rig and after 20 minutes with the help of the waves got this BEAST to shore!  My biggest kelp to date! Dayummmm!

We tucked our tails between our legs and went back to our original location since Steve had no problem fishing and few weeds.
We then had a flurry of nice hits!  I finally get to my rod in time on one big hit and get him into the skinny when he popped off.  Steve tail grabbed him, but he twisted out.  He grabbed a second time and had him before a bigger set came through and knocked him out of his hand.  Oh well, but I'll call it a catch.  ;D
It was a 4' leopard.  We had 6 good hits but all came unbuttoned before Dave finally got one to stick.  He was so happy, he went to give him a hug before getting photobombed by a Squatch.

That was it.  The bite died quicker than a zombie around Rick Grimes and we were homeward bound.
Thanks for the invite and schooling Dave.

Looks like a good night of fishing

The only problem I was having fishing my spot was I couldn't get a single bite to stick. Ugh.
