Surfs Up, so hit the bay.

Bay water looked like chocolate milk.

Plenty of firewood, so we started a fire early... and made it burn for 5 hours.

Finally hooked one of the bait stealers.



Giant ass stinger for such a little ray.

Lost two other bites, but that was it.  This might be a tough Bat Fight this year as I can't remember the last bat ray that I have seen caught.

Steve was the fire whisperer as he had a lot of "Wind Issue" wood to burn.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Remember, this is a casting event, so your drone is only good for you videoing all of the thornback rays you're going to catch.  ;D
