Hoping more take hold! Corvina and Triggers are here to stay. Puffers are starting to establish themselves in the big bay. What's next??

I might just try critter fishing in the boat once the rockfish closures start.  See if I could get anything weird to come up.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

My buddy snagged a puffer in Newport bay. It was cool looking.

Agreed, puffers are cool. I haven't personally seen one yet in our waters. I was fishing Sunset Cliffs a couple of years back and I was chatting it up with a guy and his wife and shows me pics of a couple triggers his wife caught at from the location we were fishing. They were Baja big too! Pretty cool! No exotics for me yet.

I'm going to anchor up at the kelp line along some rocks, drop some chum balls mixed with chum and small hook fish for weird stuff one day.  Maybe drop some bigger stuff too as long as the sea-lions leave me alone.

Be careful what you wish for, those exotics just might be Invasive some day.  :o
