We ended up with only 6 showing up and managed to cover two beaches.  Ramon managed to put a 51" on the sand at one beach and Ryan lost another big one at the other beach.  Other than that "nothing", but at least it looks like their starting go show up.  Surf and current were very fishable with almost no wind................Verne

One fish at 51" isn't that bad of a night. We have both spent a lot of time on the beach for less than that, even with a group.

It was definitely nice being out and fishing with you guys that's for sure, I'm looking forward to the next 1....

Latimeria

Yep, that's a beauty!  Nice going Ray!

I have not pulled on a fish in almost a month since my back went out.  I am going nuts over here, but love checking out all of your guys posts until I'm ready to get back in the sand!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

A week ago you guys were getting no love at all. 51" on the sand could win it. Two hookups on different beaches is a good sign with 3 weeks to go :)
Anybody have an emergency beer?

Nice work scouting guys. But idk if 51" will be enough this year ;)

It wasn't last year...

That's a nice bat. Looks like I'd better through out all of my rubber hooks and but some nice sharp metal ones.  ;D

I'm still upset that I lost mine. It felt big -- high 40s or into the 50s. But then it got twisted with my second rod, and took off down the beach. I think I let it get too much angle -- follow your fish!

I suppose that's what I get for fishing alone, with two rods, on a rocky beach, in the dark.  :(

I did rally with a 44" leopard to beat the skunk, though, so at least that happened.

Grat's to Ramon for landing his. I think those spots are starting to heat up.

Next time Ryan I will fish wherever you do, I still feel bad you down there alone.  Hopefully we'll hit it next week.............V

Meh. It was my call, and I'm glad I did. I haven't pulled on a big one in a long time. :) It felt good.

Not sure when I'll be able to get out again. Work is work.
