First trip out of 2020.  I was supposed to get my daughter and Mom out in the boat, but things came up and it never materialized.
It turned into a Yellow recon/Bass trip.

Too much fog to see birds working, but we trolled around a bit looking for yellows.  No marks, No sign of them, so we switched to bass fishing.

Steady pick of quality bass all morning.  Some spurts, but nothing wide open.

3-4 pound bass were fairly common this morning.

Both varieties of bass also!

The fog lifted and we made a few moves.  Spot-Lock was key to staying over the structure though.

Light Gear Bassin' was working also, but a little too light for many of these quality fish.

Most were on the 50# braid rod.

Squatch and his braid-picking skills.

The tools of the trade.

Ended up with 40 bass and a big Johnny Bass that was fooled with the big MC swimbait.  Not a bad first trip of the year, and hopefully get the boat all ready for a new and upcoming season.
All bass were C.P.R'd.

Thanks for reading.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
