Anyone here use the bounce ball? I've been running it with a 4" big hammer, hoochie skirt over it, 1lb ball and 5-6" flasher.

I feel like the flasher is deterring bites. I haven't ran it without or side by side without but I also haven't even got a bass to hit it.

Been trolling in 10-15ft outside the surf up to 60ft

I bounce ball for halibut about 3-5 times a year.  I have friends that all they do is bounce ball and use the huge flashers like you would for salmon and just kills them!  I've not had the same experience as him, but I've caught a fair amount of halibut and bass on it.  It's about as boring fishing as I have done, but I usually will switch up tactics after a few hours.  My buddy will put an entire half to full day doing it and almost always have success.
He won't give me all his secrets, but he does it a little different than what I've read on the internet.  Steve and I have seen him pull 4 huge halibut just on a single troll where we didn't even get a sniff.  I had a few nicer grade fish on, but never got them up.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Well now I'm determined. I might actually have to hook up my FF and put in work.
