Super Bowl Extravaganza!

Decided to let the Sous Vide machine take a break and fire up the stick smoker.  I figured I'd try smoking a tri-tip and even try smoking some Russet potatoes.  The wood of choice is mesquite.



The meat enjoying some time in a bed of lovely smoke.



Many drinks to be had while the game is on, but the food was on point and ready as planned surprisingly!



What a great smoke ring!



A digital thermometer was critical and so glad I kept checking so it didn't dry out.



Lobster fishing sucked on Saturday, but at least there was something to add to the platter



I also smoked the onion onions which made for a great steak topper.  All in all, it may be my favorite way of cooking tri-tip yet!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

The smoker produces great stuff, it's addicting, same with cast iron ;D Tri Tip looks awesome 8) 8)
