We heard Jennings had a plant, so we brought the trout, bass and Cat gear just in case.  Gates didn't open until 8:00, so it was a late start.

We hit the usual "Just Planted" trout spots and saw the trout rats pick off a few, but they quickly moved on.

We hit all the usual spots for not even a sniff, so decided to troll around.  That didn't work, so we went to our Bluegill and Red Ear spot to maybe get into some panfish.

My bobber and worm was immediately hit, but I missed him.  I put the rod in the holder and whenI looked up, the bobber was gone and the rod doubled over!  I was pretty sure I had a big Red Ear on and it was trying to dig me into the tulies.  I was almost amazed when I saw it wasn't a panfish!

We switched up to the bobber and worms and went pretty wide open!  Steve and I were having a blast just bobber fishing for these guys!  We lost quite a few in the tules, but there seemed to be a biomass in the area.

We switched up to lures.  I started throwing Joe's spinner flies and it was getting slammed!  I kept losing them and then realized my hook busted off on one of the jumpers so had to tie on a new fly.
Steve on the other hand put a damn surf curly tail grub on and cast it out there and got slammed!  He boated a really nice bow on the grub!

We kept casting and catching and losing trout, but my cutoff time was coming up quick.  I had a Dr Appt that I couldn't miss, so 2:30 was the absolute latest last cast.

After losing about 20 trout, we were at 9 and it was 2:32.  I saw one swimming and cast a fly lined crawler in front of it and I saw the worm disappear!  Boom!  Squatch made the final scoop for limits and off we went!

Well with a double limit!

I got to the Dr Appt in the nick of time and was super stoked to see us catching a bunch of trout with no one else around.  It was a fine way to end 2022, unless I decide to try and get one more day out of the License.

Thanks for reading and happy New Year!

Oh, I forgot that we were watching listening to this adult ass clown trying to fight a 16 year old kid.  The douche talked about it for literally an hour for the entire lake to hear and he yelled at the kid at one point "Well, I have a 4-pole stamp".  Steve can chime in and probably capture the event better as I was trying everything in my power not to listen.  lol
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

4 pole stamp
My dads a lawyer

Couple highlights from some grown man. Trout rats probably started throwing between his power bait rods. Who knows? He was still ranting an hour after they left. Surprised Tom hung around as long as he did.

Morf grub ftw!

Nice way to cap the year.

4 pole rod stamp? Dad's a lawyer? I didn't know Koga was in town.
