Went perching this morning. Hit several spots looking for fishable conditions.  Surf was legit 3-4' with occasional 5'. Lots of kelp in tje water. Since the tide was so high, everything was getting sucked out. Major red tide from Del Mar to SK. Brown water. Reminds me of when COVID hit. Red tide was awful then. Hopefully it doesn't linger long.

Thanks for the intel. Yeah that brown streaky water has been around since the rains and hasn't left even after several big tidal swings. It's gonna need a series of ground swell and current to flush it out.

Though there is action if you score pockets of clear water despite the mid 50's temps.  ;)

The water in Malibu is starting to clear up, but is still stained.  It's been a tough year so far Mike, I keep saying "it's only gonna get better".

Thanks Mike for the reporting.  I keep seeing all of these big sharks show up in my memory feed on FB and keep thinking I need to get out there, but stuff like this has been non-stop lately.
I'm going to catch a damn surf shark this year to get on the boards again!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Water color is fine up here, fish on the other hand have been on vacation.
