I said my goodbyes and buried my Dad, I just had to get out of town and regroup, Bishop and The Sierras were calling. Janie couldn't get time off work and the twins just started their jobs so Timmy was flying solo this trip. Got The Hearse packed and I left bright and early on Sept. 11

Hit some minor traffic as usual in Riverside, saw a caravan of Fire Trucks, the area was all on fire :(

Made it to Bishop and headed up the hill to God's Country, always a welcoming view  8)

Hit my favorite spots and landed a few players, felt good to get a tug on 6Lb.  ;D

Noticed a sign that wasn't there when I was here in June, had to get a LOOK-SEE  ??? Kinda young :-[

The weather was perfect, 70 degrees up at 8 and 9 thousand feet, shorts and T-shirts with a light sweatshirt now and then ;) Fished till 3 or 4 in the afternoon and decided to head back into town and grab some groceries before driving to my buddy's house. He wasn't there but said I could have the place all to myself till he got there Thursday night, it's an awesome Vacation Home 8)  8)

Thursday morning I took off and hit the local streams and found trout everywhere, ended up catching 45 and left them biting  ;D  So much fun and such beautiful scenery 8)  8)

What are the chances of a guy with one eye catching a trout with one eye ???  :o  ::)  ;D

There were a few good sized ones in the mix but all were drag pullers  :) Kisses for good luck  ;)  ;D

A video of some of the fun  8)

Had to say Hi to Squatch again, got another Selfie with him  ;D

Friday we got the Pontoon hooked up and headed to Lake Crowley, a whopping 5 minute drive ;D His driveway is too narrow to get the Pontoon out with his truck so we had to use his jeep to back it out, then hook it up to the truck, and to the lake we went :)

The boat ride across the lake was chilly but once we got to the spot, jackets off  :)

My buddy and his Son In Law, (along with all the other Locals) fly fish with a Bobber to target the trout. I chose to use a Hookup Bait on my spinning rod and landed a Perch, first fish on the boat....off to a good start ;)

They got bit and landed a couple nice ones :)  I can't sit and stare at a Bobber, I gotta keep active ;)

Saturday was a repeat of Friday, another 4 or 5 hours on the lake and then finish off the day stream fishing. My Hookup Bait got bit a few more times, nothing huge but awesome to catch a Native Trout  8)

Sunday rolled around pretty quick and I had to hit the road. Left at 6:30am and topped off the gas tank in Bishop, then it was Hwy 395 for a few hours reminiscing the past 4 days until Bass Pro for Lunch(Calamari and Fries) a leg stretch and a bit of shopping.

Cyclops time !

Nice trip there Tim and a great way to absorb life's events as of late.

Nice Crappie and Lahontan Cutty!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

I thought it was a Crappie as well, they all assured me it was a Sacramento Perch cause they target them often, I was just glad to get a fish on a Hookup Bait and no Bobber  ;D
