i did that with the all tackle world record Starry Rockfish a few years ago when I was fishing with Sherm I think.  I had the new IGFA All Tackle record by 2oz as i weighed, then filleted him. I'm still sick over that one. Now I check the books after every weight. lol
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

I have the books every year. I actually didn't renew the past 3 years, but i have a bunch of IGFA record books.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
