For those who use them, where do you get them and what works best?

I was using some from the electrical department at home depot. It was fine. Then I was given a bunch of tubing by a friend in telecom. It is stiffer when it shrinks. I like it better. No marking on it so I don't know anything about it.

Home Depot if you want some right away, but if you can wait, it's cheaper and you get more on eBay.

There's some that exists for automotive use that has an adhesive on the interior of the tube which is pretty cool. I haven't seen any in a while, so this isn't all that useful.

Verne, Tom and Steve and others use it to stiffen/streamline the connection between the wire leader and the hook/swivel. Helps keep the hook from tangling. I have some of Tom's rigs and it works great. Plan on doing the same when I get all the gear to make my own.
Heck out the surf casting rig post on the Lure and Rig Crafting forum.
